what is depth hypnosis?

Depth Hypnosis is a healing modality developed by Dr. Isa Gucciardi, PhD that uses ideas and techniques from Hypnosis, Transpersonal Psychology, Shamanism, Buddhist Philosophy, and Energy Medicine within its core processes. One does not need to believe in or ascribe to any of these modes of thinking to benefit from Depth Hypnosis: rather, it is the slow unfolding of unconditional compassion and acceptance of oneself that, through these processes, begins to shine through.

For those of us working in the service industry or are otherwise committed to serving the community, Depth Hypnosis challenges the idea of service as an act of servitude: oftentimes we approach service from a place of people-pleasing, and we can find ourselves burnt out and depleted. Instead, my experience of Depth Hypnosis has been that of a place of relationality where both the giver and receiver are, and have always been, whole. It is from this same place of empowerment and non-attachment that Depth Hypnosis can teach us how to offer help to others without depleting ourselves.

It is through a commitment to our own healing and development that Depth Hypnosis can support transformative shifts in the way we show up in, and engage with, the world around us. A process of slowly and gradually changing our relationship to the Earth and the way we walk through the world: with more awareness, more flexibility, more integrity, more compassion, and more joy.
